hello, this is my 1st post, anyone here have a tractor like mine ?

a NH TN60 4X4, with loader,

mine is a open station, with shuttle shift,

i run a cow/calf operation, in central missouri, mostly just bale hay,

only have 110 acres, i bought my tractor mainly for feeding big bales in the winter, only have 17 momma cow's left, from 25, been kinda going backwards because of , layoff's,

but we'er holding on by the skin of our teeth,

anyhoo. i just love my little tractor, have had it for a year now, have 265 hours on it now,
never a problem, always starts.

I sometimes wishes i would have gotten a cab, but i have some brush, and trees,

and my brothers place is , pretty brushy.... i'ed of probly just been breaking glass, but it sure is a nice tractor, been using old stuff. the newest tractor i've ever had was an old john deer, model A

After i got this tractor, 1st thing i did was push the old john deer into the ditch, boy was i glad to see it go !!!:D

if i'ed of know how much better these modern tractors are, i'ed of bought one 20 years ago !! ha !!

P-B,
Welcome.
Don't have YOUR tractor, but I have the TN65, open station 2w with 8x8 trany and woods loader. Basically the same tractor, and like you, I love it. Have had my share of old stuff, and sometimes can't believe how easy these new ones are to operate. How did we live without power steering?
Welcome to the board. Its hard to believe the smarts at this place. Just ask, and someone will have had the same experience, and freely give you advice..... good and bad... :D
Look forward to reading about YOUR experiences, and if you don't have one, go out and get a digital camera right now, as we can not live without pictures... :D

Hey peabody,

We've got a T2220 also with a loader, its a 35hp hydro, I can drop the roll bar and get into the trees with this one. The T2220 replace a JD60 with a loader and no power steering.

The rest of our farm is trimmed up pretty good for the cab tractor blowing snow. My DX60 replaced a IH1066 that was much larger, I like the smaller footprint of this one.

I came off of a Case VAC14. Good old bird, nothing like a modern tractor! Of course that's not what I will say when something major breaks, but we'll save that for then. TN55s for me. You have the larger front axle as I recall. 8 speed, 12, or 16?

mines the 12 speed, works really good, sometimes i wishes there was a lower gear in mid-range, or higher gear in low range,

for mowing with the disk mower.
