WOW! I forgot all about that'n! Guess I'll have to work on the sequel a'fore long. That was going to happen towards the end of last summer. Then we had this little issue with the worst drought in the past 100 years. No hayfield overhaul...No plowing. Then I was going to do it this past spring. That got sidetracked over a health issue. Got the ALMOST all clear from the doc on that, so MAYBE this fall I can plow up the hayfield finally.

Well, that's one option.... Was thinking more of PLOWING OLD GROUND though The last time this field was worked was 1988.

I got the other frog and parts on the Dearborn plow today. It seems to sit level and the moldboard angle has to be the same on the Dearborn as it was on the Leinbach, since it is bolted onto the same frog. The only place I could get the plow to go into the ground was a small patch that I plowed in March and I was waiting till late summer to put some clover into it. The area still had a little dampness in it from some thunderstorms a couple weeks ago. This patch is in a lower corner of a 2 acre food plot, and it gets most of whatever runoff that comes from the field. Anyway, the plow did great. Pulled easy, went in the ground like it should, rolled the dirt over completely. I shortened the stabilizer chain on the left bottom link to help keep the plow close to the right wheel, and all went well. As I said before, I cannot get the right tire in as close as it should be because of the ROPS being bolted on the tractor, but shortening the chain helped a lot. I'll do more playing with it later this year, when the land gets wet enough to plow.

I was thinking about selling the Dearborn at Plow Day this fall, but I think I'll keep it.

The Leinbach parts came from a 10 year old model 82-2, 14 inch 2 bottom, and I put them on a Dearborn model 10-1, serial number starts with 283, but I can't remember the rest. The Leinbach uses a longer landside on the rear plow, and there is no provision for the tailwheel from the Dearborn, but it's not needed with the long landside.

The Leinbach dealer near me says any Leinbach part is available singley, so the frogs might be the only thing you guys would have to have shipped. Thanks.
