Great site you folks have here. "Tractor-like" toys include a Kubota BX-23, a couple of 1966 Sears Custom 6's, and a 1994 Wheel Horse/Toro 17hp. I'm a pipefitter/plumber for DuPont. My hobbies are autocrossing, road racing, target shooting, and my grand-son. Automotive toys include an, (almost completely restored), 1969 Custom-10 Chevy truck, a 1973 Chevy Vega I bought new, a 1978 Chevy Monza (the road race car), a pair of tired old Toyota 4x4's a 1996 Dodge 4x4 2500 diesel, and a 2002 Z-28 which is the autocross car. I've used the site to find some answers regarding the BX, and it's been really helpful. Thanks for having me.

Welcome from Oklahoma. I've got one of those old (65-66) Sears Custom 6 yard tractors too. Dad upgraded it in early 80's to a Techumseh 8. I've been going to get it going again, but keep getting distracted. Mine has the mower deck, front push blade, single bottom plow, and cultivator.

They're tough little tractors, aren't they? I've been restoring one of them for my grandson. (He's only 18 months old, but I'm slow). It still has the 6 hp Techumseh engine. I sand blasted the wheels, the grill, cowling, fenders, etc, and painted them with rustoleum red and white paint. Put a set of new ag-tires on the rear. I managed to find a 3 point hitch for it, but I haven't found any attachments yet. I plan to use it for pulling my log splitter around, as well as letting my grandson play with it. I'll post pics if I can get my wife to help me!
