Buying Advice New here and have a question about a Kubota L2350

I have got a 1999 873 Bobcat and am about done using it (clearing ground, moving dirt, gravel, brush, etc). I bought it to do these chores and then going to sell it. Well, I have a gentleman wanting to trade me a nice Kubota L2350/with loader for my Bobcat. My question is about the tractor, is it a good unit, dependable, etc. I will only be maintaining 6 acres with it. I will just mow, push snow, gravel, etc. Thanks in advance for your responses.:thumbsup:

Excellent tractor, dependable and the kind of thing Kubota built its reputation on. Dependable is an understatement.

I think you might be disappointed in so small and low horse power after having used the bobcat. What would the bobcat sell for? $12-15,000? What would the tractor cost?

The 2350 was a good machine, but this "friend" wants to up trade. The bobcat is worth more money, Id sell it then shop.

Thanks for the responses. The tractor has 700 hours on it (1994 model) and seems to be in excellent shape. The Bobcat has 1738 hours on it. I know the Bobcat is probably worth more and I have 3 guys interested in buying it. I probably will just sell and then buy a tractor. The guy is asking $12500 for the tractor which seems high to me (7500-10000 is what i see that they sell for), but he said he just put $1100 in it (which was probably considered maintenance for the year that it is). What I've seen, my Bobcat is well worth the $12,500, it has foam filled tires and a set of steal tracks on it.

My dad had a L 235 and later gave it to me . It is a great tractor , it would have been nice to have had power steering but being a light tractor wasn't really a problem . I sold it a few years back for $8000 in very good cond. and it had an almost new roto tiller . Wish I had kept the tiller .

Tractors do hold their value far better than a vehicle. Often a 30 year old compact tractor is worth 30 - 50% of a new one, from what I have seen.
