Just wanted to share some pictures of the work lamps I've installed on the orange beast. They came out great!
6000 unadulterated lumens blasting out into the darkness...
I used a modified Osram Sylvania Xenarc X1010 High Intensity Discharge (HID) Xenon Lighting System that has had the bulb shield removed. Although that makes it a glare hazard for on-road use, that's not my intent, and getting as many lumens projected out was my goal.
Each ballast went behind the tail lamps, the power switch for the rig is an IP65 rated LED lit rocker switch that fit perfectly on the plastic flat next to the cup holder.
These are un-edited pics off of my phone, so the comparisons to the stock headlamps are apples to apples, and the night shots are just that, straight shots from the phone.
I'm throwing a lot of light, I'm thinking of this would be a fun way to play late night back-yard wiffle ball tournaments...
Certainly not a conventional set of work lamps, and my wife certainly thinks its overkill, but what fun would a conventional setup be...
