Lesson learned. He knows better now. I 'pressed' the exterior wall of my house with a compact track hoe. Wood frame busted trim board, inside broke sheet rock wall from the bowing. Lesson learned for me as well.

It's always going to be a learning curve...I've sure done my share of uh oh's.

I have been driving tractors for an embarrassingly large number of years and I can guarantee I haven't dinged up my last wall, fence post, tree...

The best lesson is that is sounds like you didn't overreact to the incident-that is a life lesson for your son! Much more important than the minor hole, and as said, no one was hurt.

I've often said that there are two kinds of operators of machinery (cars, tractors, etc.)-those that have had an accident and those who will!

You'll both laugh about this, and sounds like you'll be lucky enough to include Grandpa in the storytelling. I'd be willing to bet that he can probably tell a story or two about you!!!!

Life's too serious not to laugh about it!
