Tractor
New Holland 1925
As the time to build a house on my 35 acres is upon me, the need to buy a tractor (and learn to use it!) finally arrived. After keeping my eyes open for a year or so, I found a used package and bought it. While it's too late to go back now (and I've spent my first four hours with it and had a great time!), I'd like to know if the deal I got was a good one or did I pay way too much? I have no idea. Anyway, I got a NH 1925 with 670 hours on it, a Rhino 5' cutter, finishing mower, NH FEL, 6' scraper and a lifting boom for $12,500. The tractor and FEL looked almost brand new with great maintenance record. The mowers, boom and scraper were in good, but not excellent condition. My place is near Bellville, TX, if geographic location has anything to do with value. Thanks, and I'm looking forward to learning a lot on this forum. Rob

Pretty similar to the deal I got on my 1925 year before last or so. I had just over 1000 hours.

Is yours HST?

I had thought of not being so hung up on the HST but every time I am out working and think of shifting every time, I am happy I kept looking till I found the one I thought was "right".

To me they are a good value for the $ spent, and I know if I wanted I could turn it for the $ I have in it.

Yes. It's an HST. Honestly, I wouldn't have known the difference, so I guess it shows God looks after the dummies too! It sure shortened the learning curve on using the tractor without having to shift all the time.
