I need information for a friend who has a NH 3415 who wants to know if he can install a power beyond hook up on his tractor so he could run a log splitter and other hydraulics on it.
Is this possible on this tractor and can you buy a kit and do it yourself and about what would be the cost. Just trying to help my friend.

I believe a 3415 has the same basic hydraulic layout as all other Ford/NH compacts. You should find an hyd distribution block below the brake pedals. Connect hoses there for Pressure, Power beyond (to the 3PH) and return; and turn the selector valve. The log splitter or whatever would require its own control valve which should be power beyond capable. The flow pattern would be pump/relief valve/ log splitter valve/ 3 point hitch. Another option would be to install one or two regular remote valves. They stack onto the hitch valve below and to the right of the seat.

you can use the same ports as the backhoe would use.

Plumbing the logsplitter as if it were a backhoe is OK if disabling the 3PH is acceptable. I look for ways to power hydraulic equipment without disabling the hitch. This requires a power beyond installation, or the use of an OEM remote valve(s).
