New Holland 4835 hard to start when cold

A good friend of mine has a New Holland 4835 that is very hard to start in the winter with out starting fluid. He has already installed a new OEM battery. I am not as familiar with this series and he says he doesn't think it has glow plugs or an intake heater. Were some of these made with out some type of glow plugs or intake heater? If so can they be added now to correct this??

Any I have seen had Thermostart.
Any I have seen could be equipped wth a frostplug style block heater.
Any sold where I work were delivered with a block heater.
A block heater is the best answer if a power supply is available.

I agree with RickB. A block heater is the best bet if electrical power is available. they're cheap and easy to install(usually). Easy to start the tractor and easier on the engine AND the battery during cold weather starts. Ours are on a timer that goes on for two hours before feeding and it starts on the first turn.

Sorry guys I forgot to to add it there is no electric where this tractor is stored. It does have a factory block heater but doesn't do any good without electric.
