New Holland/Ford Compact Tractors

I use this analogy. JDeere is a rebadged Harley. Kubota is a rebadged Honda. Hew Holland is a rebadged Suzuki.
Who in their right mind wouldn't buy a Harley or a Honda before a Suzuki?
It is snob appeal. NH is not a snob appeal tractor. It is a tractor for work.
LS is just another competitor.

re LS better loader, anyone read the posts on LS frame needing to be beefed up due to stress cracks from loader use?

Sometimes I wonder if people don't read the posts they are replying to or are simply quoting a post as a jumping off point to make points unrelated to the post they quoted.

RickB's post said the NH CUTs from ISM could no longer compete on price so NH went to LS. He also said LS CUTs ergonomics are not as good as the ergonomics of ISM CUTs, not that they do not compare to other current CUTs ergonomics.

I dont think new hollands parent company fiat wants to be in the compact and sub compact market,my opinion fiat wants new holland and case ih to be only in large tractors, combines, planting and tillage equipment etc.

I read on Wicki that John Deere acquired Case New Holland in 2013. Has anyone else seen that. I haven't been able to find another reference online.

Good interview: Cat, Deere, CNH

Today, New Holland has exited the heavy side of the business in North America to focus on compacts only, and Kobelco is no longer part of CNH. But Gasparri refuses to look at these developments in a negative light.

“I don’t think it was something that went less than positively,” he says. “Especially in this market, it was a natural evolution of the presence in the different segments of the market. I think the decision in 2011 here to shift the focus of New Holland into the compact business was driven mainly by the importance, for instance, of the market in the agriculture sector, and landscaping; both are very relevant in North America.

Some people still think Ford and New Holland still go together but for over 15 years now its been more like Dodge=New Holland. Fiat owns New Holland, Case, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, I don't think there is anything wrong with that it make the company stronger. I just traded my New Holland in on a new John Deere. I think the New Holland was a good tractor. With a lot of car like options. I just like the Deere better. New car company's have been farming out parts of there product line for over 30 years. If the New Holland partners up with LS and that tractor is not up to there standers than New Holland will suffer the same as if they built it. (its got there name on it) Some of the same thing that's happened to JD and there India tractors.

That should be interesting, new holland focusing on compacts, with LS selling the line for much less money, and so many new holland dealers have been picking up a second line of compacts.

around here there are tons and tons of NH tractors but they're all AG tractors and combines. very few NH compacts. everyone seems to be using Kubota or JD, with a massey thrown in every once in a while. I know of one LS and one Mahrindra.
