Hey guys...need a little help from the owners or dealers of these tractors. I need to get a new 4wd tractor for the chicken houses and for hay. I'm looking at getting a 40 to 50 hp but cant seem to make up my mind. I have little knowledge of these newer tractor with the hst, but I'm kinda liking it. Height is my biggest issue considering I have limited space in the houses. I can't stand the ROPS that they put on everything now. Does anyone have any words of wisdom on the durability of these tractors. So far I'm leaning toward the Mccormick but cant find much info...PLEASE HELP!!!

BTW, MCCormick is the only one i found with the full folding ROPS that break at the fender opposed to 2 feet up. the model of the Mccormick was the x10.50h. And never really been a fan of JD due to them putting an aluminum axle housing in. Prolly still gonna check them out just to be on the safe side.

I'm worried about the kubota not having very good lift capacity and the height of the tractor is too tall due to the rops. The ceiling height in the houses is pretty low bc of the water lines

All of the larger Kioti's also break the ROPS at the fender line.. Kioti=McCormick=Bobcat=Landini.. all made by Daedong

I hope they are good, I am trading in my Kubota for a Kioti DK35se next week if they can ever get it prepped (supposed to have been today, but some sort or trucking issue ,truck late)

In 40 horse the DK40se Hydro is a good value.. I priced one at $22495. Others have gotten 21500 or so. 40 horse 2700 lbs of lift on the FEL, hydrostat with 1 rear remote, Luxury features.

My DK40(mccormick) sits pretty tall on Ags, but probably I could be comfortable going under 6'6" with the ROPS down. Its about 5' to the top of the seat, but it is adjustable up or down. The turf tire option lowers it about 2" as well.

I was kinda wondering why you need such a large tractor for chicken house clean out, or do you have other used in mind for it too?

If I was buying for a hay farm I'd get a dedicated ag tractor and not a CUT.

Most of the major manufactures build low profile models in the 60-80HP range for poultry/orchard operations. They'll move right into a hay field......
