True but in this case. All new Def was used and it was a bad Def sensor. NH had so many to replace, no dealer had one in any surrounding states. The NH rep even suggested they take one off a NEW tractor on the dealers lot. Made me wonder if that is what happened to mine and the def sending unit which was just replaced as well.

I'll probably end up moving in a few years, some land down south somewhere ... I was up in the air about selling my tractors with my current property and buying new, or bringing them with me. You guys have helped me decide, definitely going to bring the old girls with me. One 1993 NH, one 2002 Kubota.

If you are happy with the lift capacity of your FEL and PTO power is good on your tractors, I would keep them. The new tractors don’t really improve the basic functions. I had a Case I traded off only because I wanted a cab.

I totally agree with that recommendation!! The older tractors especially the ones with mechanical fuel pumps and no onboard computers are much more reliable/dependable, durable then the new ones. I wish I never traded my F6640 for this T4.90. It would have been cheaper and less head aches if I had totally rebuilt the F6640!

You should factor in the moving cost of a tractor. Even if you own a trailer and a tow vehicle capable of moving the tractors a long distance, there are costs involved. If you have to hire the job, two tractors will cost thousands to move.

"two tractors will cost thousands to move"

Yep.....and worth every penny!
When you are ready, try..... uShip.com.

It is a competitive bidding system.
The first bid may be high, but over 2+ weeks, individual truckers will bid against each other to get your business.
You can select your own future shipping date.
Allow some time for the bidding process to play out, then take the lowest bid.
Example: 1st bid might be $2,800, after some days, competitors might have bid against each other enough to bring the price down to $1,600 or lower.

No matter the cost if the tractors work for you and you are happy with them move them with you don't buy new! It will cost far less than buying the new headaches!!!

Be careful who you select thru uShip. I had an excavator moved with 60 gallons of diesel in the tank. When it was off loaded it ran out of fuel during the offload. The cheapest may not be the best.
