New Holland LS170 Auxiliary Hydraulics

Bought a used LS170 and evertything seems to work fine. Just purchased a Tree Shear and got it attached, but the auxiliary hydraulics handle doesn't want to engage so I can use it. Don't know if the Shear is defective or if there is an issue with the hydraulics (mechanism). Any ideas?

Check the QD's. Check the pressure with a hyd gage.

I am new at this. What do you mean by check the QD's? If the attachment is non-functioning, will that cause the handle to not engage?

I just bought the attachment (tree shear) but it was a customer return. I don't know why the customer returned it. It could be non-functioning. How can I tell if the problem is the attachment or the skid steer?

A hyd gage and a flow meter would help locate any problem you may have.

Unplug and replug the QD's.

Are you saying that the aux lever does not move at all? You can plug the shear into another hyd source. The shear probably has the flat faced QD's.

Is it a lever valve or a solenoid valve?

I'm assuming the aux control isn't moving.

Foot controls for the loader and bucket-then the right handle works the aux. There is a little lock lever on the handle.

Hand controls for the loader and bucket-left pedal controls the aux. There is a handle between the pedals that locks it.

I HAVE A NEW HOLLAND LS170 , LOCED ON ME WHEN I WAS WORKING , HYD OIL LIGHT CAME ON , I CHANGED OIL FILTER , AND STILL IT WILL NOT MOVE, ANY ONE HAD SAME PROBLEM? THNKS
