Besides CDs in high volume are dirt cheap a couple of bucks a peice worst case.

No way it cost anywhere near $120. much less the huge rental fee mentioned above.

Clearly its priced there because they know people need the info and have no choice but to pay.

Fred, there are lots of us out here who bought the Illustrated Parts Manual for $50. I think New Holland is "Marketing" their CD by charging what the market will bear in the beginning. If it doesn't sell well for $120, maybe they will lower the price. I do know if I was buying a new tractor, I'd be looking to buy the CD or get it included in my purchase. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Has anyone purchased the CD besides Spencer200? Has anyone used it and can give us their impression? I hate to buy something without knowing how well it works.

Also, I wonder how many bootlegged copies are already floating around? Hmm /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I work in the service/technical support field. Several years ago I was certain that at least one MFG would write service documentation on CD that would be a tremendous aid in troubleshooting/repairing complex equipment. And then others would follow suit to compete. I'm still waiting! The technology is there, the motivation isn't.

I accept that to some degree, it's just not cost effective. Today, everything is about the bottom line. If they make it easier for us to repair something, they are taking money out of their own pocket. At least the documentation is available.
