Wow, hard to believe they relied on a piece of plastic or similar material for that critical piece. I'm surprised many more of us haven't had it break. You did a beautiful job of fabricating a much improved replacement. What would you charge for a few more?

I think he meant he is 25 Miles south west of Clinton or 70 miles south of Port Clinton. I imagine he is in or around Wooster.
By the way he did do a great job on the Fabrication! I cant imagine even trying that one!

It works just great, but the recommendation from Tazz and adding the nut to the shaft prior to installation is what makes me feel that the "Thud" shouldn't happen again. Thanks all for the advice & comments.
I'm not in the business of selling fabrication, so the description of the process is as good as I can offer. A visit to your local weld shop with the above description & a $10 bill should do the trick. Grind it yourself and add a little paint and your business!
