New Holland T4030 VS Kubota M7040

What you I think are curious about is why does 11 GPM lift 3300 lbs on the Kubota and why does it take the jd over 20 gpm to lift 300lbs more. That is the efficiency of the systems! Kubota doesn't have as much power loss in the hydaulic system. That is not good for the fuel efficency of the tractor.

Sorry, but this is nonsense. GPM is the measure of the output volume of hydraulic pump(s), not the lifting power of the 3PH. A higher volume is generally a benefit, not a sign of lower efficiency.

Not having the pump pressure specs at hand, my guess would be that the hydraulic pumps on both tractors put out about the same *pressure*, and the the greater lift capacity of the Deere is due to larger pistons on the 3PH and probably heavier components as well.

New Holland T4030 VS Kubota M7040

I am going to post this in the NH section cause I'm a NH or Ford guy. I looked at a T4030 4X4 ROPS with 16X16 power shuttle, duel remotes, and without a loader. The price was $19,800 plus tax.
Today I looked at a Kubota M7040 4X4 with 8x8 power shuttle, duel remotes, and without a loader. The price was $18,200.
The front tires on the Kubota were 9.5x24R. I cannot remember the front tire size on the NH, but they seemed to be much larger. Does anyone know the front tire size on the NH.
One thing I noticed on the Kubota was the 3 pt link adjuster bar pin size was a different size. On the NH the pins are 7/8 I believe. This looks like an inconvenience with two sizes on the Kubota
One thing, the NH dealer is a 90 minute drive one way while the Kubota dealer is local.
I lost the NH booklet, so does anyone know the front tire size?
Any advice on the two tractors would be appreciated.

Mike

I'm a Kubota guy so I would not buy a New Holland. You are a New Holland guy so I would buy the NH if I were you. If you really like a NH and you buy something else you'll probably not be happy with it. You'll nitpick the machine to death. If you've had good service from a NH tractor just stay with it. Lift specs of tractors can be deceiving. Either will get the job done.
