Tractor is about 4 years old. I was brush hogging the other day and all of a sudden.....no traction. I was able to drive it to the barn....real slow. It goes into all gears but the tractor just creeps forward, no speed when stepping on the accelerator. I checked the transmission fluid and it was low. A quart or so made it read on the dipstick. Alas, I still am having the same problem. Is there something else I should looking for?
I have a TC29DA with a manual tranny but I still can't understand your problem.
You said "no traction" That's not engine related.
You have not said if it's a manual or a hydro. Or whether the engine is racing and the tractor is not moving or if stepping on the throttle makes no difference in RPM, as if the throttle linkage was broken, and the engine remains at idle.
I recently put gas in mine by mistake an it would only idle after a short warm up. Full throttle did nothing.
If it's a manual the oil level in the tranny is not related to speed.
Please give some more information so we can help.
