Need help from the TBN Brain Trust!

New Holland TC35 with 1000 hours.
Yesterday I was moving tree trunks around and got a flat on the front.
Removed wheel/tire this morning; got replacement.
Mounted wheel/tire this afternoon.
Started the tractor ... let it warm up a bit.
Moved the Forward-Neutral-Reverse lever to Forward ... could not get it to go in any gear.
Moved the F-N-R lever to Neutral ... then it would go into 1,2,3 or 4; but it wouldn't go in F or R.
I went through the routine several times, same result.
I tried all Low-Medium- High ranges ... same result.

What new problem do you think I have now?

I appreciate any help!

Sure sounds like the clutch plate decided to stick while you were away.

Try finessing the Low-Medium- High range lever one more time. Sometimes it needs a "twitch"

Can you explain how that might help? The range portion of the transmission is at the end of the line. He didn't say it wouldn't move, only that it wouldn't go into gear.

Okay, how about this? Maybe roll it forward or backward a bit and see if that lines things up a bit. There's no logic to that, but the problem isn't logical either.

The shift rods on the TCs are quite long and not very strong IMHO.

So maybe lube the shift linkage pivot points.

On my TC45DA the four drive shift road has bent some so it is not as easy to shift.

Thanks for the ideas ... I'll try them.

One other thing I noticed ... when I have it in a gear (any gear, 1-4) and push on the F-N-R lever to either F or R, I can feel the tractor nudge just a little.
Do tractor transmissions have synchronizers, like the transmission in my old Mustang Mach 1? If so, could it be that?
