I don't think I've manually moved the 4WD lever on our Boomer 6 times in the past years, With SensiTrak 4WD is applied automatically whenever it's needed. It's a pretty cool feature that saves wear and tear on the drive-line.

First of all let me say that while you like your 40 today, you'll soon love it in the years to follow.
Next let me say that I'm late commenting on here as I've been cleaning up the place after last nights storm. Man, did we get hit!
Branches and limbs everywhere.
Now, on to the good news, if you don't have a set of "forks" yet buy them now. When I asked about needing "forks", are they really that useful? My reps reply was, I was how much I liked my "loader". What I asked, loader? I wouldn't own a tractor without one. His reply was as much as you like your loader, you'll wish that you would have had forks 20 plus years ago. The uses are endless. My thoughts where typical sales but I had learned over the years that if I asked this man a straight question he's going to give a straight answer back. So I followed my respect for this man and bought the forks without a further question. They were with the tractor when he delivered it. He hadn't even gotten off the trailer when I asked him to drop the bucket and put a piece of equipment in a buddies truck that had just pulled up. So as you can see this was the first thing used on this tractor and it hasn't stopped. I've cleaned up all the limbs most without even getting off the tractor. That's a useful! This allows me to retain all of my (roundness, calories HA HA) but it does make for a quicker job since I'm not trying to chain every limb onto the bucket, or getting off and on every time. This way I just cary them to my sawing area "a pile" (where its out of the neughbors sight) and then go about my business until I want to go using my chainsaw for a couple of hours.

I was raised on a dairy, and we kept the forks on most the time, obviously for moving hay, BUT, hardly a day went by that we didn't use the forks for another application.

Now, with my TC, I don't have any, and I miss them terribly. It triples or quadrouples (sp) the usefullness of the loader.

Question, since I don't have the quick attach bucket, do any of you have some low cost solutions? Right now I am planning on biulding some forks, and I would love to see some ideas of other home made, or even purchased forks that will work with a bucket in place.

If you guys think forks are handy, then you ought to try a bucket grapple. I have both but the grapple is used much more than the pallet forks.

So...if I stop by, can I watch you unload pallets off a flatbed with the grapple instead of the forks?

I'm jealous. I want QA forks so bad I can taste it, but I do get by with my chain-on bucket forks.

Jim if I didn't need the QA pallet forks for the business end I really wouldn't have purchased them. They do have a place indeed but I'm still sold on the grapple for overall usability.
