Good morning,

I have a New Holland TC45DA with a hydraulic leak somewhere. Both the bucket and the rear 3 point hitch will lose pressure and lower over time. Recently, as a test, I left the bucket up approximately 18 inches at night and next morning, bucket was on floor. Also after completing mowing, I left the mower up with engine off to clean mower. The entire time I was cleaning, I could hear the mower popping and could see the mower gradually dropping. I have done a visual inspection of the entire tractor and find no evidence of a hydraulic fluid leak anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on and what to do to fix it?

Thanks.

I have the same tractor. My hydraulics also bleed down over time. I have looked for a leak for three years, haven't found one yet. Regarding your other question you posted, my dealer suggested the same course of action. I'm changing my filters spring and fall.

My tractor bleeds down also, I think it's the cylinders themselves leaking fluid past the o-rings and internal seals. Rebuilding them would probably solve the problem, it doesn't bother me enough yet that I've wanted to tear into it. My 3 point bleeds down fast (in under a minute), the loader takes longer but having something heavy on it definitely speeds it up.

The cylinder thing makes sense on the loader arms. My 3 point does not move, even with the flail mower on it.

Thanks guys for the quick replies. I have a 1300 lb. Woods finishing mower and I can stand back and watch it drop a fraction about every 10 seconds. I will be removing the mower blades for sharpening shortly. Of course I will have the mower deck blocked, but I would still feel better if the hydraulics were in better shape.
