I haven't seen it, but if it is for sale for only $2900, it has to be a scam. Also, does it ship worldwide with free shipping? Those are also tell-tale signs of a fraudulant item.

It is a scam. Do not get involved with it. Probably what will happen if the person responses is one of two things. If you e-mailed the account holder, they will say they are not selling it, that someone hijacked the site. If you e-mailed another address located in the body of the ad, the person will remove the tractor from e-bay, say that for some reason another person was to buy it but the deal fell through, and they will sell it to you for the same price. Just do a wire transfer to them, and they will ship it. Fat chance!
Avoid this and do not respond back to them. I am a member of e-bay and I almost fell for it. As others have said, "if it is too good to be true, it is".

I saw it the other day. It is a scam. On Ebay there are lots of scams for equipment. Be very wary of tractors, 4 wheelers, etc. But there are some signs to look for that are sure bets to scams.
Free shipping.
Worldwide shipping.
Ultra low "buy it now" prices.
Restricted bid auctions.
Also look for pictures where the background terrain doesn't match the terrain of the location the tractor is located in. Like mountains in the picture but the tractor is located in Kansas.
Also look for body text that is different than the picture.
Also look for body text that gives a location that is different than the item location listed on auction location.
Also look for body text that says to email questions to someone other than the lister of the auction.
Also, check the other items for sale, quite often the scams hijack a legitimate user's ID and if you see a tractor for sale from someone who is obviously selling doll clothes on a daily basis that is a red flag of a scam.

Here is an informative thread on how to ID the scams, how the scam works, and how to report the scams to ebay. The scammers have been on ebay for a long time, but recently they have gotten really agressive through soliciting people's ebay and paypal account info via spoofed websites.

Maybe he forgot a zero and accidentally listed it without the extra zero, so it became 2,900 instead of 29,000? Don't know

I have been emailing this guy and almost got caught up in the scam. Thanks to the net and this site , I have been enlightened as to this scammer. Here is some of the information he has sent me, which conforms exactly with the "Classic Scammer".
