The mid rops will completly fold down so that nothing sticks up, it then acts similar to a bumper. SAME and a lot of other European companies use this setup in their orchard and vinyard models. It is nice for people with low limbs or doorways.

The mid-mount, fold-foward ROPS is pretty cool, Robert, but I wonder how it would work with a FEL? How much space do you have between your FEL arms and your hood?

Don't know, if they make this a regular compact like the rest of the TC's I doubt you will see a mid rops and I know you will not see a front 3pt. They will put the rops on the back like the rest just so it looks normal as it will sell better that way. Personally I think more people will be buying a cabbed model with loader and not have to worry about the rops, except that cab sure does raise the height which will make a tight fit in some buildings.

The only tractors New Holland sells in the US at this time with the mid rops are narrow and vineyard tractors.

I was looking at Landini tractors on the net and the Landini Mistral compact appears to be the same as the TCE 50. Does New Holland contract with Landini to make this tractor or does New Holland own Landini?

You said about the TCE looks the same as the Landini. Well Im now going to buy a Mistral, what they are is a Valpadana tractor made for first landini then NH there is very little differnce and seem to very good. Valpadana are a big company a make tractors for several other companies, icluding the latest compact tractor to hit the uk market the Smallholder tractor.
