New Holland to switch to Korean manufacturer?

In the USA, LS sells tractors under their own banner, and also through McCormick Tractors International & Landini (very few Landini sold), so not so many outlets to be un-managable.

As to LS replacing Shibaura as New Holland's supplier, I can't find any source on the internet supporting that. Sounds like a rumor to me.

There are several companies making tractors under 50hp. Many are not available in the USA. Others supplement what they do mfg with other's tractors. Case IH, New Holland and John Deere all "claim" to manufacture their tractors in the USA. (Actually, they "assemble" tractors built elsewhere, by others).

Cub Cadet Yanmar, Mahindra (some), LS, Kioti, John Deere (one's made in India), Kubota, McCormick, Landini, Pasquali, Deutz-Fahr, Jinma, YTO, Dongfeng and other Chinese brands, Fendt, Massey Ferguson (some models built by oversea subsidiaries) and TYM all build their own tractors under 50hp that are available in the USA, (at least some of them). There may be a few that I missed....

Here is a interesting photo of LS Tractor painted Red.

well they could have gone to the same company that makes Bobcat tractors in Korea ;) Yet another new model number scheme. which companies other than Kubota actually make their own tractors in 50HP or less?

Branson builds their own tractors, no rebranding.

Kevanos, I called my local NH dealer and he confimred it. He's not real pleased, so he is taking on Kioti as well. If he can't brag about the Japanese heritage of his tractors, he might as well carry two Korean lines. He is excited about the prospect of having a bargain model as a price leader.

Sounds like a step backward to me.

It will be tough for NH dealers when presumable they will have the highest price version of a same tractor that can be bought else ware for less. Without unique features and competitive advantages buyers will surely gravitate toward the less expensive brands. To me this will cheapen the New Holland brand considerably.

Penny smart, pound foolish for sure.

Will the new NH tractors be rebranded versions of existing LS models, or will they be new NH only versions?

How bad will the parts availability be for existing NH tractors?

Does Shibaura market tractors in the USA under their own name? Any chance they'll market the current NH under the Shibaura (or another) name?

Time will tell.

Parts should be available but as always, expensive. Who has inexpensive parts now?

No one else presently re-brands Shibaura. Setting up their own network is always possible, but it's not easy in a choked market. Would someone else re-brand them? Who knows. If NH no longer wants them, (because of pricing and design?), who else would?

New Holland will be keeping the T1500 series and the Boomer cabs as is. The only changes in the line will be to the Boomer 2030, 2035 3040, 3045, 3050--rops machines.
