If you are going to own machinery, you are going to have to figure out how to manage breakdowns, downtime and repair cost. No getting around any of that.
Expecting machines to perform flawlessly on an indefinite basis is a recipe for disappointment. If you haven't had a major breakdown in 45 years given the extensive list of machines owned in your profile, you are either very lucky, or you don't use most of it very often.
