I agree with the poster above on the single-stage blowers. They are incredibly effective and simple to maintain.

I am not too familiar with any of the accessories, but I really would like to know more about these single stage blowers.
How far do these things blow snow ??

I found a GT 275 with a cab, and blower attached for $2400 in Minnesota.
I'm just wondering what the real value of these additional accessories is ???
I think the cab's are at least over $1000 by themselves.....

Stay away from the Husquavarna, they are low end machines. Either of the John Deere models will work fine. You can get the specs on them from Tractordata.com

And while you're looking...look for a Kubota diesel lawn tractor. No personal experience (but someone in the Lawn and Garden Tractor forum may have), but I've heard good things about these machines...

If you want a starter unit that blows snow, then that's a good buy. The blower, coming from Minnesota, may have seen a lot of use. It is a long way to get it so factor in the cost of travel. If you just want to mow, go with a zero turn like a Z425 or the cheaper Z245.
