If you talk to your husky dealer you can get the NE 346 for $425, $489 is retail.

Just remember the 372xp XT now is the strato versions if you have the de-comp in the top of cover instead of right side of cyl like on the good old ones.

Bought the 346XP from Charlie at Quaboag Equipment...Good Husky Dealer. Real good light weight saw that likes to rev. Try running it on the canned 104 octane ethanol free gas...smells like old CAM2 race gas when run in the 346XP. Makes it hard to put the saw down to come in for supper.

Buying anything but a prosaw is wast of money, imo. Congrates on the new toys but a word of caution, the high chain speed of the 346 and most pro saws will cut clear thru most homeowner grade chainsaw safety pants like butter.

That's totally up to you . But the 562 is light and cuts almost as well as the 372 . All I'm saying is if you were impressed with the performance of the 346 @ 50 cc's , the 562 will wow you at 60 . Try it out, the 372 will likely be gone.

I have a wooded lot about 3ac full of large oaks there are some that are to close to the house and I would like to take down.. I also heat our house with a wood stove. I cut a lot of wood for neihboring property owners as well most are ageing.
I thought the right saw for me was the Husky359 but after all the problems I have had with my Husky 445 Im hesitent to buy a non XP saw.

I dont want to regret not having the extra cc of the 359 but Im leaning towars the 346XP. I felt both saws at the dealer and like the compactness of the 346XP. I know that either way I will be happy because the 445 leaves a lot to be desired. for example (a single bar nut tensioner??) In my defense when I bought the 445 I was not doing anywhere near the cutting I do now..

If I were to go with the 346XP would you guys recomend changing over to a 3/8 chain>?

You do not want to switch over to 3/8 chain. The 346xp is made to run a low profile 325 chain. it screams withthis chain setup. Using a 3/8 chain will bog it down.
