That's the only chronic problem I've been aware of on the 790s. I had the same thing happen. Put a new cable end on mine and it still wouldn't start. Cranked just fine though. Turns out it blew a fuse in the process and replacement got it running again /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Congratulations on your 790! My 790 has been really great. What the other guys are saying about cronic problems are indeed true (the battery), all else has been rock solid for me.

Having started as a complete rookie myself, I've learned that practice makes perfect. I really struggled with my FEL at first, but have gotten much more proficient with time. While I don't own a box blade (yet), I'm sure that you'll have similar experiences....

You'll learn a lot my reading the posts and asking questions.... these guys are the experts!

My next two gadgets will be a tooth-bar and an oil-heater (for cold winter starts).

Congratulations on the 790. You will be happy with the 790. I have been.

Like others, I had the battery problem. Last weekend replaced the terminal connector with a $1.23 lead connector. My neighbor also has a 790 and had the Deere dealership do it for him.

This is the only problem I've had.

I've really appreciated the engineering built into this tractor.

Good luck! Fill in your profile and keep us informed!
