I just set the can on the arm of the FEL and then lean it over while standing on the operator's platform. Aim the spout at the filler and your fueling. I have to pick up the can to get the last little out but it's light then.

When I first bought my 4100, I stopped by Walmart to buy a new 5 gallon can for diesel fuel. All they had were 2 1/2 gallon cans. I bought 2, because I was in such a hurry to go home and drive the tractor that I couldn't stand to go to another store to find a 5 gallon can.

It turned out well-takes a few seconds longer to re-fill with 2 cans, but it is easy to fill the 4100 with the 2 1/2 gallon can. It's half the weight, plus it is easy to identify the diesel cans among the other cans of gas, pre-mix, kerosene, etc that live in my garage. Enjoy the 4110.

I have a 15 gallon deisel tank with a hand pump on it. This works well and requires a few less visits to the gas station than the 5 gallon use. I would agree with the folks who don't recommend the 55 gallon drum. Although this might be the best for your time constraints I've read in several places that you don't want any kind of fuel to sit around that long.

Benson, I finally found a 5 gallon yellow diesel fuel bottle/can and it does take a little strength when it is full to hold it over the tractor to dump the fuel in, but it is manageable for me. I think the 15 gallon tank is a good idea with the proper pump.
