I just put 26 hours on my new tractor. Some 3pt work, but mostly mowing. I shut it off and cleaned it up after leaf work, and the display was dead when I went to start it.i called the dealer I bought it from, and they picked it up two days later.
I called the service department to explain a couple issues I had with it so far. There was moisture in the display screen , 3pt locking nut came off, the fan was hitting the shroud while mowing side hills, and the dead , no start/power issue.
A week and a half later, they call me back and say it is all set. I asked them what they did, and they told me the plug fell off of the ignition switch. The service guy said it was a common issue, ( you think they would check that when assembling it then). The display wasn稚 wet enough to warrant replacing it at this time ( I guess that痴 what you get for 16k). I then asked him about the fan, he said nothing wrong there, they didn稚 hear anything. I said that痴 crap, the fan and shroud were both damaged. He said ya, something definitely happened there, but it痴 not doing it now. I lost it, yelled at him, that it does it all the time while mowing on side hills. Now he starts talking to me like I知 stupid. I happen to be a forestry heavy equipment mechanic by trade.so then , I asked him about the three point lock, and he tells me the 3 pt is fine , it goes up and down. I am so frustrated at this point, I explained everything very thoroughly, but they only hear what they want to hear.
So next week, I am going to buy the 54 snow thrower for it. I think I need to try another dealer. I can稚 see dealing with this anymore. This was Farmington Valley Equipment in Ct. Has anyone dealt with the other Dealer in Middletown? My father bought a x748 several years ago, and hasn稚 had any issues at all. That is why I went this route, but so far , I am less than pleased.
