Chipper New Jimna Chipper

I'll post some pics of my dolly for you Drafthorse.
The support is a "T" that fits into a receiver slot on the dolly. The chipper feed tray sits on the top of the "T" .
I made it removeable for storage purposes and it allows me to use the dolly for other things. It also makes it easier to set the chipper onto the dolly using the 3PH.

In PIC 2 all I am going to do is to extend one side of the feed roller handle downward and attach a foot pedal at the bottom. It will look like an elongated "L"

Peter, The chipper is one of the best implements I have ever bought. Before you go changing out everything use it first. I have about 25 hrs of actual use on mine with no problems other than the need to change zircs.

It's kinda funny though. I bought mine to make compost and mulch instead of burning. They say eastern red cedar is good for mulch due to it's bug repelant properties but I had some fire ants take up residence in a freshly cut pile of it.

Ask me how I found out.

Good luck with it.

Other than the zerts and the feed belt, I'm not going to be changing anything else out right now. I ordered the extra parts in event something does go, I can change it out and then order replacement parts later. (old Boy Scout, be prepared).

I've got about 6 acres of Mesquite that I need to remove for pasture. Anything over 4" will be cut for firewood. Most of the chips will be spread and used in stabilizing the sandy soil and as a natural fetilizer.

I will definitly be saving some of the chips for use in my smoker.

Ductape, It was kinda a tongue in check expression.

Being from NH you might not know much about fire ants. They're swarming little devils that attack swiftly. I stuck my arms into the pile to spread it by hand and was covered by the varmints.

Here are the pictures.
Pic 3 shows the T-Bar clearly. It is made from 1" square tubing. The sleeve, hard to see, is a 3" piece of 1 1/4" square tubing.
Pic 4 just shows the 400# steel casters.
