Egon, Santa doesn't have that kind of money to waste. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif A sixteen year with a newer truck = "I don't think so" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The truck is a 96 Mazda with 184k miles on it. For the most part its a good little truck, but with that many miles its going to have a problem or two. Its a good way for him to learn how to repair the truck and respect driving a newer one when that time comes.

Nice Equipment! You should mount an electric winch on that trailer. I love my wifes Dodge Quad 1500 4x4 but she'll trade ya? ps: u can get an elec winch cheap at Harbour Freight!

I'm going to be looking for a winch in the next few weeks. I fitted the trailer with a seven wire plug just for that reason. It's just that yesterday was the first time I needed it. Funny how uncompleted projects can sneak up on ya like that. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I'd put two winches on the front of the trailer. One on the left and one on the right. You can steer your load onto the trailer that way.

I used to recover tanks, armored personel carriers, heavy trucks, et al. To get your load off, put a sheave or pully on the back end of the trailer and pull it off. When you do this, attach your other winch cable to the front of the load so you can brake or slow your load down.

I think its time for you to go down to Harbor Freight and buy yourself an 8000# winch for your trailer. I bought one for my tiltbed trailer on sale for $300. and have not regretted it yet. So far I have wiched up a broken tractor, 2 different ranger pickups, a Chev. blazer, and an 88 suburban. I don't have a sore arm from the come along anymore.

Second pic of the back of the box on the trailer. Best money I ever spend. I not as young as I used to be and my arms also wore out using a come along.

There should be a setting on your camera to prevent that date from being placed onto your digital images.

Whow, that is a nice setup George. Thanks for the pictures.

There is a setting on my camera for showing the date. I want it to show on the pic so I know when I took it. Why does the date bother you? It doesn't bother me.

George, need to put that battery in a batt. box. it's starting to etch the inside of the alum. box. Could blow a hole in it, in about 30 years /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
