I visited a new Kioti dealer in RI last week. I looked at two brand new CK20's that had just been delivered (hydro. & loader). Both of them had dings/creases on the edge of the driver's rear fender. One was about the size of a nickel, one about a quarter, both with cracked or scratched paint in these dings. I asked for a price on them ($14,000 BEFORE taxes, OUCH! They looked like great machines and I have heard many positive comments on them, but based on that price, Kubota is looking better and better!). The salesman argued with me from behind the counter saying that there was no way these machines were damaged, they were brand new. After several minutes of going back and forth (by now I felt I was being called a liar, and heavan forbid he walk outside and look), I asked if there would be any discounts offered since they were slightly damaged. IF they were in fact damaged, he didn't know, had to talk to the boss.
Is this common to find brand new tractors with small defects for full price? I wouldn't buy a brand new car like this for full price. These two spots definately would have been prone to surface rust in the near future at the very least.
