New Kioti line versus old?

Howdy folks,

I spent 3 years researching my purchase of a DK40se hst in 2012 and I was very well informed of Kioti products back then. I am very happy with the balance of features, power, and weight of this tractor. Since my purchase, I've not kept up with new Kioti products since my dealer is about 130 miles from my house, and thankfully, the tractor has been very reliable.

Friends occasionally ask questions about my tractor since there are very few Kioti tractors in this area. They wonder if they could get a similar tractor and what that might cost. As I read information here, and look at the Kioti website, it is apparent much has changed in the product lineup since Tier 4 kicked in. Is there something comparable to the DK40 I own? And what might that go for?

Thoughts anyone?

Agree. Confusing nomenclature.

For the OP, probably the closest current tractor to the DK40se would be the NX4510. Different engine but same loader and basic specs.

Nope. Current DKxx10 (DK4510 for example) is the size/weight (roughly) of the past DS.

Current NXxx10 (NX4510, etc) is roughly the size/weight of the past DK.

The DS,DK and NX from 40-60hp are all very similar weight as well as loader, 3PT and hydraulic pump output. There are however some significant differences such as motor even at the same HP.

I didn't look at all of those links but clearly some is way wrong. DK40se loader for example is not the KL351. It is the KL401 with very different specs.

The major difference between DK and NX is the engine. NX is lower displacement and turbo charged as well as having Tier 4 pollution control. All NX engines are 3 cylinder and have exactly the same displacement with different software controlling output from 45-60 hp. DKse models 40-50 hp share same 4 cylinder block but have different displacements to get horsepower changes.

Pretty sure loader specs are identical between DKse and NX line (except DKse 35 which also has different engine block than others).

That's how much I paid for my 2013 DK45 ROPS with extras, I almost bought the same tractor you have but knew I'd hammer it up in the woods. Glad I didn't get a cab for my specific use, but boy is that cab sweet, especially when the �� are crazy, like now!

I believe I paid something close to $18,500 for my 2007 DK40se with extra remote, loader and 0% finance. Bought some other attachments like Woods BH90x at same time.

Folks, I paid $19,500 for my new DK40se hst with loader in 2011. I was still stationed overseas at the time, but chose to make the purchase a year early due to Tier 4 coming down the pike. Think that was one of my better financial decisions.

There was a post here sometime last year. Rick advised that he and his wife went their separate ways and the business was dissolved. Agree, he was a great dealer.
