New KK tiller (in red)

/ New KK tiller (in red) #11
Sicma is made in Italy, King Kutter is suppose to be made in the USA. Kuhn is made in France. Kuhn seems to be of the best quality, between the three. The fit, and finish is better I think than the King Kutter or Sicma. The King Kutters, and Sicmas seem to rust more, than the Kuhn's do. King Kutter appears to be made strong, but seems to rust fairly quickly. A man I talked to on youtube, who owns a JD2320 I believe tractor, had a frontier, and then bought a King Kutter, said the King Kutter was alot better, and cut better. Kuhn appears to be quite professional in design. I looked at some used Kuhn products, and the rust was minimal, they appeared to be of better quality materials, than the others. I like King Kutter, but Kuhn seems to be the wiser investment. There isn't any other tillers I have found that seem to be on par with Kuhn, I have looked at Sicma/Phoenix, Land Pride, King Kutter, Taylor Way, Howard, Woods, Ground Force (although little is known about GF, they appear pretty good),Tarter,Bush Hog, ABI, County Line, Mohawk, Muratori, Frontier, and Massey Ferguson, though little is known about them as well. There may have been some other brands, I just don't remember. Kuhn appears to be made the best of all I seen, though some of the Phoenix models are near $10,000.00 dollars for their tillers. These maybe on par with Kuhn, but I find it unlikely I would pay that much for a tiller.

Different tillers may work better on different tractors, so it can be difficult to determine which will work best for you. The Massey Ferguson tillers might work better with Massey Ferguson tractors since they were designed for the tractors of Massey Ferguson, by Massey Ferguson. Frontier however doesn't seem to be getting much of a good reputation for John Deere for their implements. There equipment don't look too bad, so I don't know what the deal is. It appears the implements aren't on par with their tractors. Maybe one of the reasons they started calling them Frontier, instead of John Deere, was because they didn't want the reputation of John Deere to suffer the criticisim their implements would for unsatisfied customers. I don't know where they are made, and well they are made. They appear alright though. I don't know about them though.

I believe it was made in Alabama.

King Kutter has three manufacturing facilities. One in Alabama, one in Ohio, and one in Tennessee. Most of our tillers are made in Ohio, but we make some in the other two locations also. The Sub-Compact XB Gear Drive Rotary Tiller is made in Alabama.

I'd like to thank the OP for buying King Kutter!!!

Thanks for the clarification. It's perfect for what I need and the price was right. I'll let you know how it holds up after a few years!!!

Massey Ferguson makes rotary tillers for their tractors. There tillers possibly work better coupled with their tractors, because they likely used their own tractors when they designed the rotary tillers. Their tillers are probably more compatible with their own tractors, I don't know if the same is true with John Deere, and Frontier, as Frontier is John Deere's implement line of products. I heard from people who owned Frontier implements, that the King Kutter brand worked better for them, when it came to the tiller. The person had tried both of them on their John Deere tractor. I was saying, that John Deere's implement line " Frontier " didn't seem to be on par with their " Tractor line " of products. Kuhn appears to me, to be the best rotary tillers on the market that I can find in my price range. King Kutter doesn't appear to be quite as good as Kuhn, but seems pretty good anyways, except for the rust factor. Kuhn products do not seem to rust as much as the competitors. Kuhn are made in France, and appear to be made out of higher quality steel. Massey Ferguson makes tillers, and I would say that Massey Ferguson makes pretty good tillers, but John Deere makes tillers, under the name Frontier, but their tillers do not seem to get that good of feed back. I don't know about Massey Ferguson tillers, as I haven't come across anyone that has used them. Their tillers appear to be built pretty good. Kuhn still remains about the best I have found, even better than Sicma, or phoenix..thanks

Different tillers will work differently on different tractors, just because there is a little bit of difference in the PTO power, and speed. Some implements just seem to work better on different tractors than others. That is what I was trying to point out. The man I talked to who had a Frontier rotary tiller on a John Deere 2320 tractor, told me, he bought a King Kutter rotary tiller, and that it worked a lot better than the Frontier rotary tiller. He said that it tilled better, and was built stronger than the Frontier, if I am not mistaken, and he had a John Deere implement on a John Deere tractor, and the aftermarket rotary tiller by King Kutter done a better job, according to him..thanks

If you have a Massey Ferguson tractor, a good option might be the Massey Ferguson line of rotary tillers, since they were likely designed with the Massey Ferguson tractors in mind, but I was also pointing out how just because an implement is made by the same manufacture as your tractor, it doesn't mean that it will be better than an aftermarket brand, like with King Kutter, vs Massey Ferguson. The example of the Frontier implement, and King Kutter implement, from the man with the John Deere 2320 tractor was my example. Frontier was John Deere, and King Kutter was an aftermarket brand, but the aftermarket brand King Kutter, was better than the Frontier model.. thanks again

Since we now know Massey Ferguson does not make the snow blower, I am willing to bet they do not make the tiller either. So, either way they are all aftermarket.
