Did you get the strainer out? What was the condition of the fluid?

Still satisfied with the tractor?

I bought a b7200 in 2008 to clean up my old farm the X had control of. After 3 years it was truly a mess but that little tractor was the cats meow. I had to repair a small dent in the hood and buy a new grill and spent about a grand on the mower deck but it looked like a new one by the time I was done. Gave it to the youngest boy when I got the bx. Wish I keep it because he sure don't appreciate it.

That's what the strainer looked like when I removed it. I just used a cutoff wheel to notch around the plug and rinsed it out with a diesel bath. Cleaned up really nice but forgot to take an after picture. Most of the gunk was blue rtv from the previous owner sealing up the 3 pt hitch cover on top. The fluid was milky as i expected. Fluid remained clear for a couple days after changing it but then became cloudy again. I should flush it out again this spring since I have no idea of the service history and will probably flush more junk out of it onto the strainer.

Overall I'm very happy with the tractor. Loader is strong and low range is just about unstoppable for pulling. The only other issue I have is the 3 pt hitch raises slow and weak. Not really a problem right now since the backhoe is on it. From the research ive done it is probably oring and backup ring on the cylinder or the linkage on the lever needs adjusted. If i ever have a need for a backblade i will get it fixed.

I think flushing again is a great idea. You don't need fancy Super UDT-2 hydraulic oil, just whatever NAPA has on sale in a 5 gal. bucket. There must be something foreign and nasty in the system. Change the engine oil, the fuel filter and the coolant, too, if you haven't. Just good practice, and gives you a solid base going forward. They were a well-built little tractor, with a lot of capability if not speed.

The Photo Scared me but Blue RTV is not metal!. As you can see I had the B7200D for years. Sure did a lot of work, but I do not miss manual steering and the crash box transmission.

I wore it out but the motor better than many new tractors. Good little machine.

Ah- our first tractor was a B8200... the slightly bigger brother to yours. You might want to change all the fluids while you are at it, and be sure to check the fuel and air filters. Those were the tractors that helped build Kubota's good reputation. As you can see, ours was a barn-kept beauty, with low hours, and I had fun modifying it while I learned about using it.

Hey does your b8200 have power steering? If so what loader kit do you have? And was it hard to work around the power steering
