- Kubota L3901
Case adjourned
And yes, the grapple most likely used about that much oil.
On the rare occasion that I pay for an oil change, I check it in the parking lot before I leave.Well, it's definitely not Kubota's fault. If it was delivered low on oil brand new, that is a poor dealer PDI, because that is their job you paid for.
And please take no offence, but I'm kinda alarmed you hadn't checked your oil in 50 hours. Trust no dealer.....always check things for yourself.
You probably know by now, but there are many "safety" switches in place that allow the instrumentation to work, but the starter will not activate. On the L3800 (L3901 predecessor) that I owned for a while, the following: PTO lever, left-hand reverser, clutch, treadle pedal. But the most perplexing for me was the treadle pedal - the micro switch it uses was very sensitive on mine. Sensitive such that it could be in a non-neutral state if my shoe touched it, or sometimes if the previous use did not leave it in its neutral position.... new L3901 HST wouldn’t start for me at 50.4 hrs ...
