I went from a 5240 that I put 900 hours on to a 5460. I've put 200 hours on the 5460 so far. No problems and regens have been a non-event. The PM (particulate) meter goes up to 100% as you run. When it hits 100% the dash ask to raise rpm if less than 1800 or just goes into regen if above 1800. I keep working while the tractor is in regen. 20-30 minutes later the regen is over and the PM meter reads 0. I get a regen every 15 to 30 hours depending on how hard the tractor has worked.
