New Kubota LX Series

According to the spec sheets going to the economy version (SU) you lose midmount PTO, Cruise Control, Tilt steering, and deluxe seat. None of these things sound very expensive outside of the midpto for Kubota but I would think they would have to be priced at least 1K+ different for them to make a LX2610SUHSD and LX2610HSD model.
Does it still have position control on the 3ph? The B3350su had a 1/4inching valve instead which would be a deal breaker for me.

Remember, the B2650 only has 19.5 PTO HP, barely above the BX.
True but the BX has a 1.0L engine running at 3200rpm where the B has a 1.3L running at 2500rpm so not really an apples to apples comparison when you figure in the higher torque output of the larger engine.

The specs listed all the LX models as being position control but have to wait until they start showing up at dealers to be 100% sure.

Yes, according to my "preliminary" spec sheet.

I believe that quarter inching valves will soon become as extinct as the doo doo bird and do not expect that Kubota will remove it from future tractors. Rather, I expect that position control will return to the next rendition of the BX series.

I hope so, that's one area Kubota has been sorely behind in.

I wondered about that myself, since I was considering getting some rear PTO implements that required a minimum of 20 PTO HP. However, I have not seen any torque specs for these two tractors that would allow a good comparison.

The curves for some of the Kubota engines can be found online.
I can give you the torque difference @ rated rpm, the BX2580 has 41.85ftlbs vs. the LX at 54.62ftlbs.

That's not peak torque either, just at the rated HP rpm based on the info given in the brochures.

Can anyone shed some light on the tire sizes? I found a spec sheet on another site and it appears that there are several tire sizes offered for the non-cab LX2610HSD & LX2610SUHSD models in both R4 & R14. I tried to post the link, but I can't until my post count is above 3.

Front: (R4 & R14) 23x8.50-14 / (R4 & R14) 25x8.50-14
Rear: (R4) 12.4-16 / (R14) 14-17.5 / (R4 & R14) 15-19.5.

Why are there so many variations? I'm waiting patiently for these to start showing up so I can take one home. I do like the idea of larger tires (15-19.5) and I'm not planning on using a belly mower, but I do not want to lose any power or torque by going with a tire size that isn't rated for the tractor. I do want R14 tires, but they look under-sized in this photo. I'm assuming that the ones pictured are the smaller size R14 (17.5" rims) and the larger R4 (19.5" rims), hence why the R14 tires look so small.

Both "standard" and "optional" R4 tires are offered. I expect that R14s will be offered in both sizes if both sizes are available.

I investigated the optional R4s when buying my B3350 and decided against for multiple reasons. Might be helpful if using a BH regularly but too many disadvantages otherwise and not needed.
