New Kubota Purchased!!!!

I just wrote the check this morning for my new Kubota BX2230. I got the BX2230 w/FEL, 60"MMM, Turf tires and a 48" Rhino box blade. All total w/ tax delivered and with the dealer welding hooks on free for me, the bill was $13,642.

I won't get the tractor until next Saturday which is good as I still have to make room in my garage. But I am excited. Any advice will be appreciated and yes...I will post photos.

Thank you to everyone for your help, and I will definitely keep posting and looking for advice as I do my landscaping.

Have you owned a tractor before? Read the manual (at least that's important to me), go slow and careful at first because even small tractors can hurt you bad.

Congrats! My B3030 won't be here for a couple of weeks so I'm jealous of yooz guys. I keep thinking of more things I could do with it if it was here...

I don't know what the sales tax rate is out your way, but whatever it is, I would say you got a good price on that BX...

Enjoy...it is a great little tractor. Take a minute after it is delivered to take the MMM off and lay on the ground and look up at the tractor's underbelly.

If you are going to be doing any rough stuff with the MMM off, you may want to consider some kind of protection on the belly. The plastic fan is easily damaged by a stick...

I have guys like you to thank for all of the help in my decision making process, and I will take a look and see what needs to be done to protect the fan. I think I got a fair deal, and that is all I can expect. Our tax rate is nice at 2.9%, so it adds about $450 to $500 to the price.

I really couldn't turn away from a brand new Kubota for $13,200 w/ 36 mos at 0%...Kubota made it a pretty easy decision. As for my lack of tractor expereince, I am going to take ample time to read everything and go slow.

Any ideas on what to use for protection? I've got lots of things planned w/o the MMM.

Your photo is of a skidplate that I designed and built for my BX 2200. As I am not that computer savvy, click on my name, and then click on "read all posts by member" and you will find pictures and a blue print for making the skid plate.

I hope it saves you from the damage I experienced.
