If I could have got that price last year I'd have a much bigger tractor. Nevermind the fact that is't too big for my property I probably would not have been able to say no.

They are actually about the same as a B2650 in size. But are built heavy and equipped with higher displacement engine. Can't have a MMM though.

Check it out, my "540" speed is 2200 rpm and Max rpm seems to be 2800.

Be interesting to PTO dyno the L2501 at 2800 rpm engine speed and see what the HP is. I bet it's more than 25!

When kubota had to go to Tier 4 engines, model change L3200 & L3800 to L3301 and L3901 - I'm sure they had left over engines that they had to do something with... Pretty sure when kubota upgraded from L2800/L3400 to L3200/L3800 - they created a model L3700 to use up the "spare" parts from those previous models.

The L2501 has a bigger engine than my L2800... would also like to know the actual HP.

Other thing I find weird is the 540 PTO markings.... Mine shows just under 2500 rpms which is what was listed for the DT (gear) models but for my HST it should be 2650-ish (I forget exactly off hand).

I like it so far. Already bush hogged 4 acres, pulled 3 windblown trees out of the woods for firewood processing and pushed the tops into a pile for burning. Kens bolt on hooks being ordered today.
