I have been leaning toward a new L3400 for all the reasons you buy new, but see a clean NH 1920 (800 hours) and a JD 1070 w/Curtis Cab in the 12,500-13,000 range on dealer's lots.
Primary use is going into the woods and chipping, so the higher pto hp of the older tractors is attractive. I will be on the ground feeding the chipper so the cab may be more of a problem with the trees and storing the tractor.
Up to now, new has been worth $3,000 more than the average 12,000 used tractor, but the higher hp of these two is tempting me. Normally the 0% would be a factor but the disappearing rebate offsets a lot of the 0% savings.
Any cautions on a 1920 or a 1070?
Thanks,
Cal
