New L4240!

Hello Everyone,

Longtime lurker and researcher here. We finally pulled the trigger on a L4240 HSTC. It is coming equipped with 2296 bucket w/ cutting bar, rear wiper and work light. Loaded R4's. L2195A front mount snow blower w/ hydraulic rotate. Ferri ZME 155 flail mower, and two rear remote hydraulics. Oh yeah, factory radio too... :laughing:

The tractor will be used to maintain about 30 acres in rural Maine. We have about 3/4 mile of driveways to plow and my Father-in-Law's plow truck is on it's last legs. Plus I'm really hoping the blower will do away with the problem of snow plow piles making it difficult to plow further later in the season.

I plan on using the Ferri to maintain 1000's of yards of hunting lines cut all over the place out back. (No deer is safe up here...:licking

The salesman called me yesterday and said they were putting it all together. I went down and snapped a quick pic. More pic's on delivery, probably first of next week!

sweet!I have the same exact tractor.Mine has 480 hrs.now,has been very good.Very capable.I have a 8ft.FEL mounted snow plow for winter work.:thumbsup:

Welcome to TBN! You're going to love the 4240. If your driveway is gravel then you should go down it and remove any fist sized loose rocks otherwise you'll be replacing shear pins.

I have about 3/4 of a mile I also remove snow on. I have a large dump truck with a plow but found myself using the dozer 3 times a year to push the snow banks back. With the blower that's a thing of the past. At the beggining of the season I keep the shoes on the blower to raise it up as far as possible but once the ground freezes I move them so the blower can get close to the ground. I also plow a couple of times at the beginning of the season to push anything that could get caught in the blower off the road.
