We need to hear from EVERYONE who has heard ANYTHING regarding the changes to the new L48 replacement coming out this fall. I've heard it will be called the L57 using the 57 HP turbocharged L series engine. What have you heard?

I don't hear much other than no cab, more HP, and the New HST and modeled like the L39. 10K lbs. and less as well. I need to hear more soon as I a waiting for more data to either buy another new L48 or invest in the new whatever L57?. Has anyone liked the braceless frame of the l39 compared to the L48 with frame-loader braces? I like the L39 style controls but prefer the ruggedness of the existing L48. Don't like plastic, like the L39s top and other components. I am sure Kubota will produce a quality machine whatever it is.

Quite surprisingly I have not bent or broke the braceless frame on my L39 with 414 hard working hours so far. I would like to have seen it made frame one pipe size larger, but I visibly see very little flex as is.

Not even an L.;)

So if it will not be an L series, what series will it be? Surly not an M series.

maybe.. L125 with the engine straight from the M125x!

I think the L48 will have been the shortest lived TLB that Kubota has produced should it be replaced soon. The L35 was around back in 1992 as I recall. I think the L48 has been a weak seller at least out here. They do sit on my local dealers lot a long time. I for one think the L48 had some great ideas but some glaring weaknesses. I would not buy another in its present production design.
