new look for the NH tractor lines

Sorry but that's really ugly! New holland is making their machines look too space like. It's a **** machine. It's not suppost to look like some tricked out eclipse or something. I hate that stuff. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif If it's such a hassle to have lights on the grill, why not put them on the top area where the cab or roll bar is? Look at JD, case etc. their large backhoes don't have lights on the grill. That's stupid. That's why the 580B's lights like mine, don't work, they're never used. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

when I looked at that first photo I asked myself "who is NH pointing their marketing at???"

I guess I am a 'form follows function" guy. That front end design seems to be a "function follows form" design to me.

Looks like it is pointed at those Yuppies that I wish I was one of!

Personally, I would rather have a tractor that looked like it was ready to work at 3 MPH rather than run at 90 MPH.

I wonder if this means I'm joining the old school????

Now those lights on the top of the cab? Almost hurts me to express it this way...THEY RULE!

Isn't it weird? It's funny, I find myself liking some of the old school stuff too. For instance, I like the late model 580B case backhoe all the way to the 580D, some nice 580E's exist too. Some excavators now look to space like also, kobelco especially. JD and Hitachi do a good job in staying 'machine' looking. Kubota machines are nice period! I like their new L35's, B21's their trackhoes and wheel loaders (R 520) are all nice machines. Oh well....I just won't use a NH LOL /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

i guess nh will be like general motors , chevy that is , ugly stuff!!!!!! the new trucks from chevy? ugly and so are the new nh's!!!

WHo wants the high tech look in a tractor ? i don't ! i want something dependable and works. but it has to look manly not that!!!!

Is this a production tractor? Its so radical that I wonder if it is a "concept tractor" like the concept cars that auto companies bring to car shows.

Either way, I think it is pretty wild (yes I am one of those yuppies or maybe I'm a yrppie since I live more in the country than the city). It would save me from having to remember to put the outdoor lights on when plowing the drive.

Look at the numbers on the side of the tractor. That's not a yuppie tractor. That is a serious farming tractor. I can tell you from a farmers standpoint that tractor is purely functional. NH is finally doing something about the light situation that farmers have complained about for years. There are always dead spots of light. With this stacked design of lights I think it will help to eliminate those dead spots. Overall this will make farming more productive, safer, and faster.
