I'm new to the Tractor world but I've been doing a lot of research online. I have the opportunity to buy a brand new LS MT125 TLB or a used Kubota l3240 with 400 hours and a brush hog. I have about 4 and 1/2 acres of property that needs to be maintained but two acres of it is overgrown with blackberries and needs to be leveled. I know the back hoe would be extremely helpful but so would having the bigger Kubota. I would also get a smaller brush hog for the MT125 but obviously the Kubota would be able to handle the brush better. Which would work better for me?
Thanks for the help.

The L3240 is a previous generation Kubota 'Grand L' compact tractor produced before Tier IV emission requirements.
3,200 pounds bare tractor weight.

LS MT125 is a subcompact tractor.
1,444 pounds bare tractor weight.

Five reasons owner/operators trade up from Subcompact Tractors:
More tractor weight.
~~Heavier tractor weight provides greater tractive power pulling ground contact implements and logs, pushing a loader bucket into dirt and pushing snow.
More FEL lift capacity.
More ground clearance.
Three-range (3) HST (Lower LOW, Higher, HIGH) ~~ rather than two-range (2) HST.
Larger wheels and tires permit heavier tractors to bridge holes, ruts and tree debris with less operator perturbation.

Kubota more weight, more power, three (3) range HST, bigger wheels and tires.

As your location is not yet part of your T-B-N PROFILE I will guess you are in the Pacific NW dealing with Himalayan Blackberries.

A Ratchet Rake bucket attachment is ideal for leveling Blackberries.

Then use a Rotary Cutter to mulch the bushes lying on the ground.

You may wish utilize Ratchet Rake to pile BB debris and burn.

Some would mow sprouts repeatedly. I would spray sprouts with Crossbow, Rural King's Crossroad or Gordon's Brush Killer (at TSC) each of which contain root killing Triclopyr.

As of now everyone is leaning towards the Kubota being the better buy i assume. So is 400 hours on a 2015 a lot? I'm in the car world so I'm not sure how that would translate into mileage.
Also I forgot to add that I will need to do some trenching to put in some drains for a few places with standing water. Which is why the back hoe would be nice. Still the Kubota?

A well maintained Kubota Grand L should go 10,000 engine hours without wear related driveline repairs other than routine maintenance.
Most tractor repairs come from bending/breaking bits and pieces on tractors and implements and tractor fluid contamination, which relates to operator experience and operator prudence. Start to research the best welding shops in your (??) area.

You can use a $350.00 Middlebuster and a trenching shovel for trenching on an acre or two.

Your location would give us an idea of your soil condition and soil moisture.

Jeffy has a personal fixation on knowing where people live even though he's been told time and time again that it doesn't matter.

I have 150 hours on my 125 in one year of ownership. I've cleared an acre or more of blackberries and honeysuckle with a walk behind brush mower.

If it was me I would opt for the bigger tractor.. 400 hours is nothing if it has been taken care of properly..
