Congrats, I'm loving my ls. A customer I do work for is thinking about buying a 88 hp I believe. With fel. Can't wait to get my seat time in that for a hour or so. This brand is really catching on!

I'm thing about a 5 foot brush hog for my tractor. What size do you guys use. I'll be in the hills of WV. I don't think that this tractor is big enough for a 6 footer and what do you think the best size tiller would be for it too.
Thanks Tony

Hi, I run a 6' Howse shredder on my G3038H. It handles it just fine. I am sure your R3039 will be able to handle a 6 footer as well..

Hello Jeff
Looks like me and you will get to us our tractors for the first time today. Looks like nice day for it here in WV. PA. shouldn't be that much diffrent. I was reading about break in. Looks like we shouldn't run them over 1500 rpms for the first 50 hours. Did your dealer say anything to you about this? Mine didn't. I think that I will do this couldn't hurt.
Is that what your owners manual recommended. My LS P7010 said to run it @ full load. Nothing about reducing RPM. I am thinking there is error somewhere there in that 1500 is just barely above idle. I have never seen an engine breakin period calling for that . Are you sure it didnt say DO NOT run it below 1500 rpm.
And you are totally wrong it thinking that it couldnt hurt to run it at that speed. You need to run the engine in so all the parts seat properly and running at high idle under little to no load is not the way to do it.

That's what I mentioned to them as well, Gary. When I first got my tractor, I was a bit confused the way the manual worded the running procedure.
What it means is to run it @ min 1500 rpms. I tried to vary my run in rpms to between 1800 and PTO speed.
I WORKED mine!

The dealer delivered mine about 4 pm and the next morning I hooked up to a box blade and started digging my pond spinning the tires loading the FEL to the max, lots of shifting forward and back. It got a good workout in those 2 days and it never used a drop of oil. Oil was clear and full at 50 hour change with only a small bit of black residue on the magnet in the drain plug. I think you actually hurt the engine by babying it during break in period. Another reason to push it to the max is that if it does have a defective part, you want it to break during warranty not many years down the road
