New LX 280 on the way

Well I bit the bullet today and finally purchased the LX 280 been looking for about 5 months. Should get it tuesday. Could not pass up on the price $3500.00 best I could find in western NC. Does this sound like a descent price or did I pay to much?

Sounds like a great price.

I have an LX277 with 125 hrs. 42 inch deck, 17 horse Kaw engine, and grass catcher. Paid about $4000.

Where did you buy in Western NC?

Nice - no make that great - deal. That's close to a $1000 less than our local dealer would want for an LX280 + 48C deck. Nice machine, no doubt about it.

That sounds like a GREAT price to me. What size deck did you get with it? I also just purchased one on Saturday with the 48" deck (supposed to take delivery this week). Paid just a hair under $4K.

Purchased from James river equipment in Hickory, should be in tommorow thought they may call today but I guess it will be Tuesday, I just got the 42 inch deck the 48 will not fit in my building door. When I pick up I'll try to figure out how to post some pics.

Had a wonderful surprise when I got home yesterday New Lx280 under the car shed. The dealer called me and offered to deliver it to the house for free. Wonderful transaction. I have put just a little over a hour on the mower so far and I love it. Still working on getting use to it. I look forward to many hours on it. Anybody have any recommendations on break in on new Kawasaki.
