My new MAX 28 has been working great! Dug 4 stumps and dug out a spot for a fire pit.

You had better watch out, before long you are going to have so many places in your yard disturbed- you are going to need grass seed to sow in all those area's. In my first month I had 'fixed' every bad spot that had been bothering me, "for years". Amazingly, after everything that I have done, the list of thing's to do keeps growing. So the idea of you running out of uses for your tractor.......not going to happen!!!

Only one drawback, attachment's just add to that to do list. So whatever you do, do not buy any attachment because that list of things to do grows out of control.

If this is your first tractor, you will probably never be without one for the rest of your life and I am sure you are kicking yourself for not getting one sooner!!

Congrats, and may your life be filled with plenty of seat time. Just don't let the wife know you are having fun and not REALY working. Teehee

My name is Tim and I bought a Mahindra Max 28xl shuttle last year. I have 135 hours on it. With it I have a 5 foot cutter ,front bucket, rear hay/pallet fork, and county line 5 foot tiller. I just wanted to put a bit of info here from my use of this tractor. I have to say I do not regret going with mahindra. I have dug a small stock pond (about 6 feet deep), I cleared brush and small trees off of about 2 acres.I bush hog several acres a couple times for extra money. bush hogged guys deer lease for extra money. Just tilled our garden (so much easier than my walk behind tiller..) By the way the 5 foot county line tiller works great and dug the ground plenty deep. I use the bucket to carry fire wood . I use it to unload 200 lbs feed boxes for my hogs.Have leveled ground .Unloaded the tiller from back of my truck. Tiller weighs 675 lbs. I did have my cutter hooked up to 3 point for extra weight. These let you know that the tractor has been used . I have already done the oil change and tranny /hydro fluid change. The fluid cost seems high but I guess thats part of it. I have had very good customer service when i go to the dealer. There Is really only 1 thing i can say negative about this tractor. The sticker on the f/r handle came off. They should have molded that into handle. I like the members club hat they sent me to lol. I have had zero issues with this tractor, still no rust other than me abusing my front bucket. When tilling you have to be moving forward so pto is turning before you drop tiller into dirt. On 1 bush hog job I did the weeds were taller than the tractor. I did have to go in low 1st but it cut it no problems. Thanks .. hope this helps if your thinking about mahindra

I purchased a Max28XL Shuttle as a replacement for our small tractor a B7200D late Dec 20014. The Max was a leftover 2013. The Kubota is a bit too small for use on our small farm use, as it struggles with some of the implements I have picked up intended for a larger tractor. That B7200 is a tough little lightweight. The B7200 needs TLC and a nice home where it will not be worked so hard in its old age. I looked at what it going to keep the Kubota running for the next few years and made a decision that I had better things to do with our time and money.

The Max should do well as it is still a small machine, 25% heavier with 11 more HP. It should also save wear and tear on our other equipment where the Max is better suited for Ag work and small ground engagement.

The selling point was the 8 speed forward & reverse shuttle. From what little I've played with the gearbox, it seems to work very nice.
