Hello all,
As you can probably see I am new to this forum, and even better than that I am a new Mahindra owner. I just took delivery of a 2006 2615, gear drive tractor today. AWESOME so far. Its a very nice machine. I can see why Kubota and John Deere sales are declining. If there is any advice you have for me, please let me know.

Welcome to TBN and congratulations on the new tractor. Be sure to let us know how things are going when you get some experience under your belt. Members like myself who hope to upgrade to a new machine someday love to read actual owner comments. Post some pictures when you can.:)

Hi Sabula: Welcome to the forum! Hope you stay around a long time; we all learn from each other. Many congrats on your new machine!

What city are you in/near? What do you plan on using the 2615 for?

My main advice is to THOROUGHLY read the owners manual, and also the manuals for any implements you have. Really get to know the tractor. Be absolutely on time for all service/maintenance intervals, and keep the Mahindra clean, very clean-----later you will be glad you did, even though it's a little extra work! See you later, Bill.......

Thank You fellows, I will post some pics soon. I plan on using the 2615 for various jobs. I live North of Pittsburgh, and have approximately 50 acres.
I have started to read the manual, and I agree, there is alot to learn.
Bill6, you said to keep the tractor very clean? is this just to keep it from the elements and corrision, or is it something else? Just wondering. I plan on keeping it clean and out of the weather, its better than having to buy a new one in the years to come.

Bill6 keeps his cleaner than any other on this site, if past posts are accurate, and I believe they most likely are. An inexpensive pressure washer will help with mud, just grease often. Keeping it under cover has kept mine looking great.
Enjoy that tractor!

Good luck with your new toy..

Pressure washers are great, but can be very distructive. My son-n-law tried washing the love bugs off the front of his automobile, and it pealed the paint right off the bumper. It will also remove grease from everything, including the places you want greased. I have an ATV, and the manual not to pressure wash the chains and other lubricated areas as it will remove the lubrication.

With that much pressure you may get water where you don't want it........

I have also heard of people washing their windows on their home, just to destroy the double pane window insulation.

Just a caution.

Welcome!! Chilly up there??? Good to hear that your new "snow weapon" fired right up. As you may already be aware (since you have a Ford also), check all your fluid levels religiously and grease often. You'll be a "pro" in no time flat! As far as traction is concerned, cheap weight is a box blade or some other form of ballast box on the 3ph. As far as filling tires, suggest you go the antifreeze method as you may have tubless tires and you wouldn't want calcium chloride next your metal wheels...Again welcome and have fun. BobG in VA

Thank You BobG in VA,

Yes its cold here, but getting better, they are calling for temps in the mid to high 40's this week. I just came in from moving some more snow from the driveway. I had a real mess here with all that snow last week. You know, it's funny that you mention checking the fluids in the mahindra. Prior to starting it today, I checked the oil(or presumed oil). It looked like the engine was never started, very clean and up to the upper notch on the stick.
I do have one small problem that will be taken care of though, the dealer delivered my tractor, but gave me the wrong manual for it. I assume after looking at the engine that the oil dip stick is behind the right side cover and low on the rear right side of the engine? I own the 2615 model. If this is correct please let me know.

yes, the dipstick is on the passenger side of the tractor. if you'll notice most of your fluid check points are marked with a dab of orange paint.
