I received my new Markham toothbar today, I got mine as several others did on here and added 2 extra teeth. I have a 54 inch bucket and it has 7 teeth on it. Another thing of note is the mounting brackets are now slotted for easy flipback. Everything fit great, Markham is great to work with. What more could you ask for? I did get to try it out this evening for a while before it got dark and popped about 4 small 4-5 in trees. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow when it's light again.

I really think I want one,,, but don't know if it will make that much difference in the rocky hardpan around my place. The gound is mostly rock with a little hard packed dirt around them.

How does a tooth bar handle ground with a lot of roots in hard soil?

Using Markham Toothbar on Kioti CK30HST in soil full of roots (woods) resulted in almost zero. You catch on a decent size root and the FEL will not budge... Can't really dig in places where there are roots.

I don't know for the hard rocky soil, but it definately works great in my area which is mostly sandy based with some good old Alabama red clay. It does have a small learning curve in order to pop the roots without digging a big crater to fill back in, but it is possible. By the 3rd or 4th tree I got to, I was able to get the tree and main roots out with minimal ground impact.

You will be very happy with the added digging capability of your toothbar. Do post some pictures of your tree popping.
I added a Markham and digging in hard red clay was 10 easier. As far as roots, that may be decided on the strength of your loader. Mine gets stuck under some roots, but others are sheared off. For those of you digging and popping and even collecting shrub, sticks and brush, it is in invaluable addition.

I'll share this picture digging in hard stuff.
Also notice the large root sheared off just in front of the tires.

This one shows popping good sized Buck brush out in one bite.
